I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing independent psychological evaluations, consultative opinions, and forensic-style services for Veterans and other individuals seeking documentation or administrative decision-making support.
I am an Air Force veteran and grew up in a military family, which has shaped both my professional focus and my understanding of military culture, systems, and operational stressors. I have worked in the field of psychology since the early 2000s across clinical, operational, and evaluative roles.
While on active duty, beginning in 2012, I received specialized training and experience conducting high-risk Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) evaluations and health-related psychological evaluations for individuals in safety-sensitive and mission-critical roles. This work required careful risk assessment, objective judgment, and clear documentation for command and administrative decision-making. I've written medical evaluation boards and completed both active duty and civilian fitness for duty evaluations, as well as law enforcement FFD evaluations.
Since 2016, I have conducted VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) psychological evaluations, and for over two years I have been providing independent VA nexus letters, rating increase opinions, and other VA-related psychological medical opinions on a self-pay basis. This work is consultative and forensic in nature and is conducted in accordance with VA evidentiary standards.
In addition, I serve as an independent psychological case reviewer for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) matters, conducting record-based reviews to assess severity, functional limitations, and consistency with SSA criteria. These reviews further inform my approach to disability-related evaluations and opinions across systems.
I believe psychological opinions should be:
Whether I am conducting an evaluation, reviewing records, or preparing an independent opinion, my role is not to advocate for an outcome, but to provide an honest, evidence-based professional assessment grounded in accepted standards of practice. I also believe that there is no substitution for experience and I believe my having been a military psychologist gives me a unique perspective in this role, and it gives Vets a more comfortable place to land, working with another Veteran.
Outside of my professional work, I’m a wife and a mom, married to an Army veteran, and remain closely connected to the military community in ways that extend beyond my clinical role.
I ride a Harley, have a lifelong love of cats, and gravitate toward a boho, creative spirit that values independence and authenticity. These parts of my life keep me grounded and balanced—qualities that matter in work requiring careful judgment, neutrality, and clarity.
